Tom Bagby and Kristen McGill

Tom Bagby:

Don’t tell anyone but Tom is actually an 18 year old trapped in a much older body.  Operating Tom Bagby Photography since 1976, Tom brings to this program both business and life experience forged by successes AND failures for without one the other cannot exist.  A firm believer in the concept that life is meant to be lived, Tom is an avid guitar player, golfer, and a connoisseur of both ketchup and beer.

Kristen McGill:

With an eye for design and a love of dogs……and people too, Kristen came to the photography industry from a financial background.  Seems like a long trip, but a worthwhile one.  Kristen’s sense of style makes her duties of Marketing Director come naturally.  Her marketing campaigns have won both SPI’s Marketer of the Year and a finalist in PPA’s AN-NE awards.

Steve Ragland

A Native New Yorker, Steve Ragland, has refined the art of romancing the soul of his subjects through his lens.  Ironically, Steve's love of photography was kindled through the career equivalent of a blind date, his friend and an aspiring designer, asked him to help her create a portfolio.  When the photos exceeded her wildest expectations, she encouraged him to develop talent and strike out on his own. After attending New York's School of Visual Arts, Steve became a much sought after fashion and beauty photographer in cities such as Paris, London, Toronto and Taipei.  Working as a true fashion photographer all over the globe has allowed Steve to bring a cosmopolitan look to images for a diverse group of clients.  Now working in Detroit, Steve continues to photograph for local and national clients.  The beauty of Steve's work, what he helps other photographers perfect, is how to achieve a luxury look and feel to images using tools readily available in any local store.  Commercial, editorial, and portrait clients are facing ever-tightening budgets and Steve's skills have been much sought after.  Steve is very high energy and his students always have fun while learning skills which will position them to produce refined images in less time with less money spent on equipment, set design and post production.

Steve's work has been seen in publications such as Vogue, Essence, Fitness Magazine, Playboy, Eating Well, Yoga Monthly, The Knot, Jet, Ambassador, Hour Detroit and Life Style Japan.  Steve has an impressive list of commercial clients including Sony Music, Miller Brewing, Radio Shack, Kmart, Sears, Zima, Martini & Rossi, and Purely Pro Cosmetics.
